Moreover, in case of connecting to other Aqara devices, the recognition of a specific or an unknown face can configure automatic replies or be used as a trigger of smart home automations for convenience or security purposes, that will work even when internet connection is down. As a truly battery-powered video doorbell, everything is encrypted before it's stored in iCloud for enhanced security. Video analysis and notifications could happen on all your Apple devices, such as iPad, iPhone, Apple TV*. For Google and Alexa users, it also supports local streaming to smart displays**. And, the G4 is planned to receive Matter support via an OTA update. The G4 offers cloud storage of up to 7 days: short event-based clips will be sent to the cloud immediately and without any hidden fees*. Additionally, the indoor chime provides the local Micro SD card (not included) storage option, which is safer and more convenient. In the future, we also plan to launch NAS storage to provide more options. Various scenarios have been considered for you. You can choose from 6-battery pack for using up to 4 months*., or wire it to a transformer**. The Chime-Repeater is equipped with a loud 95 dB speaker and USB-C port for more flexible placement. To better protect privacy, it is supported to change the voice of the intercom audio to uncle, robot or clown voice. Face, loitering, and tamper alerts are supported to notify you, sound a siren or even play a pre-recorded message when events are detected. Up to 3 designated areas in the screen can be set for privacy protection of neighbors, which is fully considered for users living in apartment buildings. Thanks to its IP rating, the G4 will resist almost any condition: direct sunlight during the hot sunny days, long winters and even rainy days*. Why can’t the item connect to Wi-Fi or the app, or why is it unstable? Ensure the doorbell and chime are within 5m to maintain a stable link. Keep the Wi-Fi router within 7m of the chime to avoid signal loss or latency and disable AP isolation on your router. Does the Aqara G4 support dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz)? No, the Aqara G4 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks. It is not compatible with 5GHz or dual-band networks that combine both frequencies under a single SSID. Can I connect this doorbell to my existing traditional chime? No. This doorbell is designed to work with the included 95dB chime for optimal performance and compatibility. Why is the battery life shorter than expected? Please make sure to use 1.5V alkaline AA batteries only. Non-alkaline batteries may cause fast drain or malfunction. Also, high motion detection sensitivity can reduce battery life.
