What MatterCatalog Is

MatterCatalog is an independent directory of Matter-compatible smart home devices. Our purpose is to answer the buying questions the Matter logo alone does not: whether a device runs Matter over Thread or Wi-Fi, whether it needs a border router or bridge, whether the exact model has been certified, and where it can currently be bought.

We are not affiliated with the Connectivity Standards Alliance, and we do not certify devices. We report on certification records published by others.

Where Our Data Comes From

Certification information is derived from the public certification records published by the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), the body that administers the Matter standard. Product details, images and pricing are drawn from retailer listings and manufacturer sources.

We do not independently test devices in a laboratory, and we do not claim to. Where a listing reflects a manufacturer or retailer claim rather than a certification record, we say so on the page.

How We Label Certification Status

Not every product we list has a confirmed CSA certificate ID matched to its exact model. We distinguish between the two cases directly on the product page:

We would rather show an honest "pending" than imply a certification we cannot evidence.

Pricing and Availability

Prices and availability change frequently and are captured at the time we read a retailer listing. A price shown on MatterCatalog may be out of date. The price at the retailer at the moment of checkout is the authoritative one, and we tell readers to verify there before buying. We do not present our captured price as a live quote or a guarantee.

Independence From Affiliate Revenue

MatterCatalog earns affiliate commissions on some outbound retailer links. This is disclosed on our Affiliate Disclosure page and marked in the page markup on the links themselves.

Affiliate relationships do not determine what we list, how devices are ranked or filtered, or what certification status we display. A device does not receive a better position, a better label, or inclusion in a comparison because a retailer pays a commission. Where we have no affiliate relationship with a retailer, we still link to it if it is the relevant place to buy.

Corrections

We expect to make mistakes across a catalogue of this size, and we would rather hear about them. If you find a wrong price, a wrong image, a link that resolves to the wrong listing, or a certification status you believe is inaccurate, email support@mattercatalog.com with the product page URL and what you observed.

We correct confirmed factual errors on the page itself. Where a correction changes a certification claim, we update the label rather than removing the record silently.

Advertising

Any paid placement or sponsored content is labelled as such and kept separate from editorial listings. Advertisers do not receive editorial review, ranking preference, or influence over certification labelling.
