For brands and press

MatterCatalog is an independent catalog of Matter smart home devices for shoppers in the United States. Each product page shows whether the device has a Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) certificate we could match to that exact model, what it needs to work (for example a Thread border router or a hub), and which US stores sell that exact model. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the CSA or any brand, and we do not certify devices: we report on the certification records the CSA publishes.

How we verify products

• Certification. Certificates come from the CSA's public records, including its Distributed Compliance Ledger (DCL). When we can match a product to a CSA certificate, its page shows the certificate ID and date. A certificate that covers a product family, or one whose exact retail model we could not confirm, is labelled that way, and a Matter claim with no certificate is labelled as a claim.
• Network and requirements. Thread, Wi-Fi and setup requirements come from certification records, manufacturer pages and store listings. We don't test devices hands-on.
• Store links. We link to a store only after its listing matches the exact model, including pack size and variant, on the store's US site, and we remove links that turn out to lead to a different product.
• Prices. Amazon prices come from Amazon's Creators API and are hidden after 24 hours; other stores' prices are read from the store's page for the exact variant and hidden after 48 hours.

Correct or update your listing

Listing a product is free and does not require contacting us. If a listing is wrong or missing something, email team@mattercatalog.com with:

• the MatterCatalog product page address (or the brand page, for several products);
• the CSA certificate ID, and the DCL vendor and product IDs if you have them;
• the exact retail model number, pack size and variant, with a link to your official product page;
• what is wrong or missing, for example the name, photo, network, platforms or a store link.

We correct confirmed errors on the page itself. A certification status always follows the CSA's records, so a certificate ID helps more than a description.

For press and researchers

Our Matter certification statistics are computed from the catalog every time the site is built: 1,827 certified models from 324 brands, 645 (35%) with a verified US store link, by category, network, brand and month (data as of Oct 5, 2026). Each number states its definition and source, and the page has a suggested citation. The underlying data is free to download as CSV or JSON under CC BY 4.0. "Listed on MatterCatalog" badge

Brands whose products are listed may show this badge on their own site, linking to their MatterCatalog brand page. It is free and optional. It says only that the brand's products appear in our catalog: it is not a certification, a rating, a review or an endorsement by MatterCatalog or the CSA, and using it does not change how products are listed or ordered. Please don't alter it to suggest otherwise.
