Working with MatterCatalog

MatterCatalog is an independent catalog of Matter smart home devices for shoppers in the United States. This page is for brands, manufacturers and stores: how products get listed, how to correct a listing, and what we do not sell.

What we do not sell

We do not sell placement, rankings, badges or guide slots. In practice that means:

  • No paid position in search results, category pages, brand pages or the product listings.
  • No paid "featured" badges or labels on product cards or product pages.
  • No paid inclusion in our buying guides, comparisons or picks, and no paid homepage spots or category sponsorships.
  • Brands and stores cannot pay for a certification label.
  • No sponsored reviews or paid articles. Our sponsored content policy explains this in full.

We do not show display ads.

How products get listed

Listing a product costs nothing and does not require contacting us. Matter certification data comes from the public records of the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA). Specifications and requirements come from certification records, manufacturer pages and store listings. Each product page shows whether we matched a CSA certification record to that device, what it needs to work (for example a Thread border router or a hub), and which US stores sell that exact model.

Sending product information or a correction

If a listing for one of your products is wrong or missing, email team@mattercatalog.com. That includes a wrong certification status, model name, photo or store link, and Matter products we have not listed yet. Please include:

  • the MatterCatalog product page address, if the product is already listed;
  • the exact model number and, for a certified product, the CSA certificate ID;
  • the manufacturer's product page, or the US store listing for that exact model and pack size;
  • what the page says now and what it should say.

We check what you send against the certification record, the manufacturer's page or the store listing before we change a page. We correct confirmed factual errors on the page itself. Sending information does not buy a better position, a better label or a review.

Affiliate links and our listings

Some store links on MatterCatalog are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy something, we may earn a commission. Our Affiliate Disclosure lists the programs we use.

Affiliate relationships do not determine what we list, how devices are ranked or filtered, or what certification status we display. A device does not receive a better position, a better label, or inclusion in a comparison because a retailer pays a commission. Where we have no affiliate relationship with a retailer, we still link to it if it is the relevant place to buy.

Store order on a product page follows one published rule: when Amazon sells the exact model, product pages list it first, followed by the other stores we found.
