ThreadAs of October 24, 2026, MatterCatalog lists 14 CSA-certified Matter sensors sold in the US with a verified store link whose records list Amazon Alexa. 9 of them are named for Alexa on the maker’s own page. 1 uses Wi-Fi, so it needs no Thread border router, and 13 use Thread, so they also need one. Top picks, starting with our guides’ picks: Eve Motion (Matter) (Thread), Aqara Motion and Light Sensor P2 (Thread), Aqara Multi-State Sensor P100 (Thread) and Aqara Presence Multi-Sensor FP300 (Thread).

Picks from our guides come first, in the guide’s order; then models whose maker’s page names Amazon Alexa, then models with a store button and a photo. Every one is CSA certified for the exact model.

14 sensors, one row per store listing, CSA-certified models first. Models whose maker’s own page names Amazon Alexa come first (9). The others list it in their catalog record only; check the maker for exact controller support.
Current prices load here, lowest first. Amazon prices come from Amazon’s product data and show for 24 hours after retrieval; other stores’ prices show for 48 hours after our check. A price is for the pack the listing sells.
A product is on this list when it has a CSA Matter certificate matched to the exact model, is sold in the US with a verified store link, and its catalog record lists Amazon Alexa. A platform a record lists is a catalog statement; the “Maker’s page names” column shows the stronger one, a quote from the maker’s own page. Two records that share one store listing count once, and models we have retired from our picks are left out. A list is indexed by search engines only with at least 5 such products. Editorial policy.
As of October 24, 2026, 14 CSA-certified Matter sensors sold in the US list Amazon Alexa in their catalog records; 9 of them are named for Alexa on the maker’s own page, and the table marks them. Brands with the most models: Aqara (4), Eve (3), HEIMAN (2), arre home (1), IKEA (1) and 3 more brands. A certificate does not promise every feature on every platform, so check the maker’s page for the exact model.
1 uses Wi-Fi, so it needs no Thread border router, and 13 use Thread, so they also need one. Alexa: Matter-compatible Echo devices handle Wi-Fi Matter devices (Amazon’s developer documentation, checked October 1, 2026); Amazon says they support “a subset of Matter 1.5 and lower device types”. For Thread models: A Thread device needs an Echo that is also a Thread border router, which Amazon’s developer documentation (checked October 1, 2026) names as the Echo (4th Gen); Echo Hub; Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen); Echo Show 15 (2nd Gen); Echo Show 21; Echo Dot Max; Echo Show 8 (3rd Gen, 2025 release) and Echo Studio (2025 release), or an eero Wi-Fi router (eero 6, eero 6+, eero Pro 6, eero Pro 6E and eero 7 family).
Amazon says Alexa supports “a subset of Matter 1.5 and lower device types”, and publishes no list of supported Matter device types that we have on file, so this page counts a model for Alexa only when its record lists Alexa (9 of 14 are also named by the maker).
A model is counted here only when its catalog record lists Amazon Alexa. MatterCatalog lists 31 CSA-certified sensors sold in the US in all, so 17 do not list Amazon Alexa. They may still work as Matter devices: “All Matter-certified smart home platforms and apps update to support different Matter-enabled device types and categories at different times.” See the full list at All Matter sensors.
