Quick answers
- Is the Lockin Smart Lock Matter certified?
- Yes. MatterCatalog matches it to CSA Matter certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24, certified Sep 26, 2025.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock work with Apple Home or HomeKit?
- Yes. The maker’s own site names Apple Home, and it is Matter certified (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24). Apple says an iPhone using iOS 18 or later can add Matter accessories to the Home app without a home hub. A Thread accessory needs a Thread-enabled home hub such as an Apple TV 4K, HomePod (2nd generation) or HomePod mini, or a compatible third-party Thread border router. Apple’s Matter page lists locks among the accessory types the Home app supports.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock work with Google Home?
- Yes. The maker’s own site names Google Home, and it is Matter certified (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24). Google says you need a Matter-enabled hub device set up on your home wireless network before you can add Matter devices to Google Home. A Thread device needs a hub that is also a Thread border router: Google Home Speaker (2026), Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Hub Max, Nest Wifi Pro (Wi-Fi 6E) or Google TV Streamer (4K). Google’s supported-device-types page lists the Door Lock type.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock work with Alexa?
- Yes. The maker’s own site names Alexa, and it is Matter certified (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24). Alexa needs a Matter-compatible Echo; Amazon says its Echo devices support “a subset of Matter 1.5 and lower device types”, so check that yours does. A Thread device needs an Echo with a built-in Thread border router, such as the Echo (4th Gen) or Echo Hub.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock work with Samsung SmartThings?
- Yes. The maker’s own site names SmartThings, and it is Matter certified (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24). SmartThings adds Matter devices through the SmartThings app and a Matter controller. Samsung says a Thread device needs a Matter controller that includes a Thread border router; the latest SmartThings Hub, SmartThings Station, Samsung TVs and Samsung Family Hub refrigerators have a Thread border router built in.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock work with Home Assistant?
- Likely. It is Matter certified (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24), so any Matter controller whose app supports its device type can add it. The maker hasn’t named Home Assistant on a page we hold. Home Assistant says: “Adding a new Matter device only works in the Home Assistant Companion app.” A Thread device needs a Thread border router, which Home Assistant describes as a network device that connects a Thread mesh network to other IP networks such as Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock use Thread or Wi-Fi?
- Thread. Its catalog record lists Thread, and Matter devices that use Thread need a Thread border router in the home, in addition to your platform’s Matter controller.
- Does the Lockin Smart Lock need a hub or a Thread border router?
- Yes: a Thread border router, in addition to your platform’s Matter controller. A Thread border router connects Thread devices to your home network; Apple TV 4K, HomePod mini, Nest Hub (2nd gen) and Echo (4th Gen) are examples, and each platform lists its own.
- When was the Lockin Smart Lock Matter certified?
- The CSA certified it on Sep 26, 2025 (certificate CSA2593FMAT47249-24). That is its certification date, not a retail release date, which MatterCatalog does not state.
- Where can I buy the Lockin Smart Lock?
- MatterCatalog has verified store links for it at Amazon and Lockin. Check the current price, model and pack size at the store.
